Exploring Majorca: From Es Trenc to Soller

In the previous episode of our adventure, we had the pleasure of visiting "Es Trenc," the last untouched sandy beach on the island of Majorca. With its turquoise waters and golden sand, nestled amidst lush pine trees, Es Trenc truly is a paradise waiting to be explored. We spent our days swimming, laughing, and enjoying the company of our friends. Now, we set sail towards the northwestern coast of Majorca, passing by Dragonera Island on our way to Soller.

As we continue our journey, we find ourselves reflecting on the unpredictability of life. Just like the sea, life is full of uncertainties - dreams may be realized, or they may remain just that, dreams. However, it is in the pursuit of these dreams that we find meaning and, perhaps, happiness.

While sailing, we encounter a squall, a sudden storm with heavy winds and torrential rains. It serves as a reminder that just like at sea, anything can change abruptly in life. But we also learn that storms eventually pass, and the sun shines again.

Unveiling Inca: Explore Mallorca's Authentic Charm and Cultural Delights

In Mallorca, as in many coastal regions of the Mediterranean, the majority of the population did not inhabit the seaside before the arrival of tourism. The fertile lands of the interior were safer and more productive. The dangers came in the form of pirates who threatened the island's coastal communities.

Soller, a charming village in Mallorca, is located about 5 kilometers from the sea. In 1913, a tram was built to connect the town with its natural harbor. Today, the port of Soller has become an important tourist center, and the tram continues to operate after more than a century.

During our time in Mallorca, we have explored the beautiful Tramontana Coast, swam in the stunning Es Trenc beach, and discovered hidden coves like Cala en Gosalba in Cap de Formentor. We have also had the pleasure of visiting Palma and Soller. All of these experiences have been made possible through the generosity of our good friends, Manel and Esperanza, who own the amazing Amel Santorini sailboat.

Next, we will be heading towards Pollença after exploring its vibrant market and spending some time exploring the town. But our adventure does not end here; we will be leaving Mallorca and sailing to the Ebro Delta in Catalonia. This nature park is a hidden gem, and we can't wait to discover more breathtaking scenery and create unforgettable memories aboard the SV L'ALIA, a Benetau First Class 8 sailboat.
